The Boyer College of Music and Dance is part of the Center for the Arts at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, located in close proximity to the city’s historic cultural institutions, including the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, The Philadelphia Orchestra, Opera Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Ballet, Philadanco and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The Center for the Arts and the Boyer College belong to a thriving arts community that also consists of the Tyler School of Art and the Division of Theater, Film and Media Arts, providing myriad opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration among students, faculty and cultural partners. Dr. Robert T. Stroker is Dean and Vice Provost for the Arts at Temple University. == Accreditation == The Boyer College is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM), the National Association of Schools of Dance (NASD), the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE), the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA), and the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
